Soviet Steam Locomotive SO-17

Hi everyone, here is a Soviet Steam Locomotive SO-17 made for the unofficial Chapter "Bloody Fall" of Post Scriptum.
It started out as a personal project, but they became interested on it and I finished it for them.
Around 150k poly for all and baked in Marmoset Toolbag 4.
I tried from the beginning to respect an old Guideline of train simulator for the polycount in order to stay game ready.

I also took some references and tried to make my own, but the most realistic and closest to my references.
It was quite challenging since all the references for all the little pieces are pretty hard to find so I took good 3D references too.
It was a good experience to learn more about Udim's workflow and deepen my knowledge about UE4 and Substance Painter.
The rocky ground comes from Megascans and the foliage from a free Unreal Engine pack.
I hope you like it!

New render, with new lights and a new ground (Old versions below)

I could optimize the UV space by layering similar pieces, or optimize the amount of polygons even more. But it's a hero and a portfolio asset so I think that's ok. But I would definitely do things differently after this experience.

Old Render in Unreal Engine 4 (Like the Tank, I decided to redo the all scene)
